Here’s your October planner printable. Yes October! Where has this year gone? As I write this, there’s only a week of September left. How was September for you? I absolutely loved this month! Autumn has just arrived and I can already feel a change in the air. The leaves are starting to turn some beautiful colours and the days are getting shorter but we’ve still had some really lovely sunny days.
So on to another installment of my monthly goals. In case you’re new here, I set myself three goals each month with the intention of making small steps towards my bigger goals and my overall self-development. Last month’s post was really popular with you guys so I’m going to make it a monthly feature!
Meditate every day. I’m happy to report that I’ve (almost) stuck to this goal. Yes I’ve missed a couple of days but on the whole I feel I’m back to meditating. And I’m loving it. I can feel the benefis already. I feel calmer, more peaceful and more patient. This is something I’m definitely going to keep up with.
Stick to my work schedule and days off. Yeah I’ve been a bit rubbish at this. I don’t know why I can’t stick to my schedule. For example I’m writing this on a Friday evening. According to my schedule I shouldn’t be working on a Friday. My only excuse is that I’ve been suffereing from a lot of headaches this month so I’ve been taking a break from screen time most evenings. I’m feeling better now so I’ll keep trying!
Get 8 hours sleep every night. Another one to tick off. I’ll admit I’ve had a couple of late nights but on the whole I’m really pleased with how I’ve done. Monday to Friday my alarm is set for 7.30am so I’ve been making sure my head hits the pilow before 11.30pm so I get my 8 hours in. Maybe my next step will be to increase it to 8.5 hours! I’ll think about that for a while!
Start writing a journal. I was going to say ‘write a journal every day’ but that might be a bit ambitious! I want to set realistic and achievable goals so I’m going to make a huge effort with this one. I’ve been feeling the pull of journalling for a long time but something’s been holding me back. Fear of the blank page maybe? Whatever it is, I think now’s the time to give it my all.
Prioritise my self-care. Like I said above, I’ve been getting lots of headaches recently and also tension in my neck and shoulders. I know I’ve been trying to Do. It. All. I’ve not been looking after myself well enough. So this month I’m going to focus on my self-care and take better care of myself, both mentally and spiritually.
Go on a date night. My partner and I both have our birthdays in October. They’re only 6 days apart. So for our birthdays we’re going to go on a really nice date night which we haven’t done for a while. No kids, just us. I can’t wait!
